For all you other parents out there, a few sample pics of what it looks like when your not-even-two-year-old gets the hives. In truth, these pictures don't even do it justice.
I'll confess, it's a bit terrifying.

Allergy!

Turns out, Peregrine inherited my penicillin allergy. We discovered this by the rapid onset hives, swollen inflamed joints, and pinpoint rash he developed after a couple days being on amoxacillan for strep throat. The docs who saw him had been doing this for a long time and had never before seen the response in someone so little.
He's fine, of course; Sky got him in to see someone when the first hives showed up, but it doesn't stop us from worrying!

Getting ready for the big day...

So I had to do a little research. I have a bit more legwork to run down on Sky's side, but, in case anyone was concerned: Peregrine is 1/8 Irish. The same as each of his parents!

And, yes, I have pictures to post...I just haven't had a chance to do so. Hopefully this weekend.
