Happy birthday to me!

Spent my day at work. Came home to this, and ate Indian food on the floor. What fun!

Moving day is tomorrow. Wish Sky luck!

Happy birthday to Pip!

We celebrated Peregrine's 2nd birthday on Saturday with a small but manageable crowd including Grandma Biddy all the way from Minnesota. He got to have cake, which, judging by how often he talks about it, is his new favorite food group.
He didn't actually turn two until yesterday, but he doesn't really know that. As far as he's concerned, his birthday was when he had cake and got presents!
A few pics...

Testin

Testing a new blog interface which may mean more frequent posting. Here are some pictures from...hrm...recently! These would be at Folklife 2012.

What are they watching so intently?

Car show

Every Memorial Day weekend, over 400 cars participate in "Cruising Colby". It features classic cars, muscle cars, low riders, rat rods, hot rods...more than anyone could possibly appreciate. Unless you're Peregrine. We sat on the curb just before the pace car went by, and over two hours (and countless pounds of CO) later, I still had to pry him from the spot. It was as close to two hours of bliss as a car-loving boy could ask for, i think.

It got worse...

...before it got better. All things considered, Peregrine stayed in pretty high spirits.  But, by golly, they were not fun. Unfortunately I never got a picture of them at their worst - at one point they were angry red and puffy AND covering a lot of his body. By the time I got the pictures below they had calmed down quite a bit.
The worst is over, now; he's more or less back to his old self and the hives are all but gone.
